Frequently Asked Questions About Our Carpet Repair Services

Do you provide the carpet?

Unfortunately we will need to use carpet either from a spare scrap or roll, or use a piece from a discreet corner of a closet as a donor piece. We will swap this undamaged piece with the repaired piece.

Do I need to move the furniture to stretch it?

If there are large or heavy beds in the room it would be best to disassemble them in advance as they will anchor the carpet down so that the wrinkle cannot be removed. We can move small furniture within reason but heavy furniture should be unloaded of items or electronics and moved prior to the stretch for best results.

How long will the repair last?

The repair is expected to last just as long as any other part of the carpet as the seams are bound and sealed in the same way as initial installation. Integrity of the repair is always something we have in mind.

Is it going to look good when finished?

When doing carpet patches we always try to make sure that we don't leave our clients with some stitched monstrosity in their carpet. We try to hide the perimeter area and make sure we don't damage the face fibers to create a seamless transition between the patch and the rest of the carpet.
